Tubes and annular pipes are ubiquous geometries in enineering applications. Applying functional coatings to their surfaces may significantly enhance the corresponding processes. Our work on modeling of tubes and annular pipes having superhydophobic or liquid-infused surfaces has recently been accepted for publication in the Journal of Fluid Mechanics. Furthermore, a discussion of consequences for the design of such geometries can soon be found in PAMM.
