Integration Test for “AORTA" Project

In the "AORTA: Automated formation of rescue lanes in complex traffic scenarios using intelligent connected vehicles and infrastructure" project, a system integration test is scheduled from June 17th to June 21st, 2024. This test will be conducted at the digital test field located in Trippstadter Str, in the Lidl and Max Plank intersections, and the Altrich autobahn.

The integration test will be in participation from the project consortium, including the chair of Mechatronics MEC (RPTU), City-Kaiserslautern, AKKODiS, Capgemini, ASB Kaiserslautern, DC Vision Systems, and Dresden Elektronik.

The primary focus of this test will be the real-time demonstration of the automated emergency corridor formation facilitated by autonomous driving vehicles. This demonstration will leverage the micromanagement algorithms, perception technologies, V2X communication protocols, and traffic light control algorithms.

To facilitate this test, traffic flow at the designated intersections will be suspended and managed by City-Kaiserslautern during the specified testing window on June 20th and 21st, 2024.
