M.Sc. Michael Albrecht
Michael Albrecht studied material science with a primary focus on polymers at the FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg. In 2013 he completed his study with a master thesis on "Rheological properties of PET with consideration of its thermal stability". He also participated in a project researching "Polymer fluid spreading kinetics on completely wettable surfaces". Michael also had a secondary study focus on glass and ceramics as well as biomaterials.
Since July 2014 he is working on process-structure-properties (vibration welding of nanocomposites) as a research assistant at the chair of Composite engineering at the Technische Universität Kaiserslautern (TUK).
Research areas
- Vibration welding of thermoplast based nanocomposites
- Investigation of the local weld properties
- Modeling and simulation of the bonds
