Summary

Abdullah Farrukh studied mechanical engineering (B. Sc.) with a specialization in product development and mechanical engineering (M. Sc.) with applied computer science at the TU Kaiserslautern. His master thesis was about "App based control of a UR robot via ROS". Since August 2022 he is working as a researcher at the technology initiative SmartFactory-KL.

Research Fileds

Abdullah Farrukh focuses on the development of flexible and modular production systems. Concepts of service-oriented architectures, such as skill-based manufacturing, are used here. Another focus is the implementation of universal interfaces such as ROS or OPC-UA using container systems such as Docker or Snaps.
