Chair of Separation Science and Technology
The Chair of Separation Science and Technology is one of the four process engineering departments at the TU Kaiserslautern. In the field of teaching, the Chair of Separation Science and Technology is mainly responsible for the study course Energy and Process Engineering. The equipment and organization of the teaching area is constantly being further developed, so that teaching and research offer very good prerequisites.
Research activities focus on basic thermal operations, in particular extraction and absorption. By means of special measuring probe technology, drop size distributions within columns can be measured location-dependently, thus enabling a better understanding of hydrodynamics.
