Chair of Applied Mechanics

Non-linear Continuum Mechanics

Short description

Nonlinear continuum mechanics is the basis for solving many mechanical engineering problems such as buckling and failure of construction elements. The lecture therefore deals with central aspects of geometrically non-linear continuum mechanics in a modern representation based on the tensor calculus. The lecture Nonlinear Continuum Mechanics builds on the one hand directly on the lectures Continuum Mechanics and on the other hand is a suitable preparation for the lecture
