The study of the relationship between crack propagation and microstructure in metallic samples subjected to cyclic loading

The role of crystal boundaries on the defect evolution during different fatigue regimes is being concentrated using the data obtained by of Electron Backscatter Diffraction maps and Automatic Crystal Orientation Mapping (ACOM)- Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) maps and their postprocessing by development and application of in-house algorithms.
